As a service to our patients, our practice accepts most medical insurance programs, including non-managed care, indemnity (traditional) and PPO. Our accounting staff will prepare all the necessary forms for your medical benefits. However, we remind you that your specific policy is an agreement between you and your insurance company. Please keep in mind that you are responsible for your total obligation should your insurance benefits result in less coverage than anticipated. Our staff will gladly submit a pre-authorization to your insurance company so that you will know what your benefit estimate will be.
The fees charged for services rendered to those who are insured are the usual and customary fees based on the agreement negotiated by your insurance. You should be aware that different insurance companies vary greatly in the types of coverage available. Also, some companies process claims promptly while others delay payment.
The Center for Dental Sleep Medicine is under contract with over 40 major medical insurances, as well as Medicare, to minimize your out-of-pocket expenses. Medicare's Pricing, Data, Analysis and Coding Contractor (PDAC) has finished a recertification process for the code covering oral appliances for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea. Only two appliances are officially approved for Medicare reimbursement. Our practice is in compliance and able to work within the new guidelines.
Please bring your driver's license and medical insurance card and we'll be happy to take care of the rest for you!
